Missionary Work and Service

Missionary work is very near and dear to my heart. I'm so incredibly grateful for the missionaries who went to my Dad's house when he was young and taught him about the Book of Mormon. My Dad met with several different missionaries as the years passed, and each one was so kind, thoughtful, and Christ-like. They were genuinely interested in his well-being and they cared about his salvation; he wasn't just a number to them. Missionary work brings forth the work and the word of the Lord to all who are seeking the truth. I know that missionaries who serve, as well as their families, are immensely blessed and come closer to the Lord. Without missionary service, my Dad would've never joined the church, and I would've never been born into the covenant. I will always be so grateful for the missionaries who have served in my family, the friends I have that serve, and the missionaries that have blessed my life in other ways. They are performing the work of the Lord, and it's a beautiful thing to see, as well as be a part of.
